Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital & Geriatric Center, a division of Guardian Elder Care, is the Ohio Valley’s leading provider in nursing and rehabilitation services.  Peterson, located in the Woodsdale section of Wheeling, has delivered excellent care and superior outcomes to patients for over 60 years.

 

Peterson provides several distinct levels of care and treatment, including acute inpatient rehab, post hospital short term nursing, and long term living care.  In addition Peterson also accommodates hospice care and has an extensive outpatient evaluation and treatment department as well as a lymphedema program.  Our medical staff, employees, and volunteers share the same values and work together to promote quality health care of the highest standard.

How We Got Our Name

 

In the 1800’s B. Walker Peterson a businessman and community leader made significant contributions to the industrial, financial and social development of the city of Wheeling.  He donated the land on which Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital & Geriatric Center was built and the facility was named Peterson in his honor.
